Waitrose Charity boxes

We are please to announce that due to a phenomenal response…Adam’S’mile received a massive 51% of the green tokens placed in Market Harborough Waitrose in May.

Following this, Adam’S’mile will now receive a share of the Waitrose charity fund.

Thank-you for your continued support!

Update

After many years of discussions with the landowners and local authorities we have now been advised that in order to overcome the many barriers which have been put in our way, and to achieve our goal, we must apply for a Definitive Map Modification Order. Following a press release in the Harborough Mail in November 2013, over 60 forms have been sent into Leicestershire County Council, confirming that people have been using the proposed route for well over 20 years. This evidence along with supporting photos have now been sent to LCC’s Legal Department for Preliminary Consultations. We are awaiting news. Funds continue to be raised locally and we remain the designated charity for White Stuff. Last month the Tangent Club agreed to take us on as their charity for the year, and for the month of May AdamSmile was the winning charity in Waitrose, with an overwhelming number of green tokens! We are in the process of setting up a Total Giving online account so people can donate directly to our charity. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

A warm welcome…

Quote

Welcome to the new website for AdamSmile.

AdamSmile was created in September 2006 in memory of our much loved son and brother Adam, who was killed, aged 13, whilst cycling to school along the busy main road between Lubenham and Market Harborough in Leicestershire

Our aim is to turn the disused railway line which runs between Lubenham and Market Harborough, well away from any traffic, into a safe cycling and walking route for all to use.

Our hope is to prevent any other family from going through such a terrible tragedy.
